Elan
The Lotus Elan first appeared in 1962. It was simple yet elegant and set completely new standards in handling. The Elan evolved gently through several series and the Spint was the ultimate way to sign off the car in 1973 with stunning performance to beat the likes of a Dino or Porsche.
Elan +2
In order to widen the appeal of the Elan the Elan plus 2 was aimed at the family man who couldn't give up his Lotus. A 1600cc 4 cylinder engine (same as in the Lotus Cortina) gave brisk performance with 120 BHP on tap and a top speed of 118 mph.
Elise
The Elise was a great looking sports car which went back to Lotus roots, a spiritual successor to the Elan. With a 1.8 engine in the light body the Elise was a capable performer with a 125mph top speed.
