The BMW Z3 was built in the USA based on the shortened chassis of the 3 series compact. It was powered by smaller 4 cylinder engines to create a steady, rather than pulse-setting roadster but also featured a tin-top coupe with the M power 2.8 engine at the other end of the range.This machine was more of the tarmac-ripping variety than the 4 cylinder versions. A popular roadster across the US and Europe.
